Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

...chill these days. Not a lot irks me. Even the stupid douchebaggery you see on a regular basis here, I just end up laughing at it.

It is weird because I am pretty screwed for all of my exams. Look I just took one today for epidemiology and WHOHOAHH I don't want to know the results! : D

I think this might just be denial. Or resignation. Either way, it feels pretty damn good compared to BAWLING MY EYES OUT like I used to 2 years ago.

I'm in my happy place... happy place... *rocks back and forth*

College right? I remember my first 2 years I had like 22 hours each semester. O_o

I freaked out alot to during finals, but you get more relaxed when you realize that if you fail a class or don't get that A you really wanted, it's okay. You're still alive and have a lot to be thankfull for you know? ^_^

I'm finding the same. I live in Australia sooo...yeah, douchebaggery abounds and it ceases to irritate me. I can feel nothing but pity for these people.

LOL Judy. At Emily Carr we don't even study for the exams. We're like "who cares as long as we pass". We really don't care about academics at Emily Carr. We put 150% effort in studio classes. 1% academics
